The Latest Thinking on Globalization & Development
The Vietnam Executive Leadership Program consists of regular discussion sessions and seminars, applied research, and a guided policy dialogue program for senior Vietnamese officials. With support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the program convenes annually at Harvard Kennedy School and is designed to familiarize senior Vietnamese leaders with the latest thinking on globalization and its relationship to development.
Harvard faculty and global business leaders engage participants in structured, research-based discussions on key issues in globalization and their implications for international competitiveness and economic and social development. Sessions are taught through a combination of faculty presentations, Vietnam case studies, and site visits. Topics include the global economy, industrial policy, climate change, education, Asian geopolitics, and rural development.
A framework paper is written in preparation for each annual session of the program. The framework paper prepared for the most recent session of the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program is available here.
