Education Data as Personalization and Communication Tool

Boston schools have implemented a centralized, cloud-based data collection system where teachers input attendance, grades, and even behavior notes daily. The information is available to students, parents, and the School Department, which plans to use the data to find out why students fall behind and develop individualized plans. This is an example of the potential for analytics of integrated data to dramatically improve service delivery.
