Addressing Blight in New Orleans

ARTICLE SPOTLIGHT: Blight

In New Orleans, fellows from Code for America developed a new app called BlightStatus to tackle the problem of widespread blighted properties. The app allows residents to report blighted properties and track their status, from inspection to court hearings. This reduces the number of duplicate complaints going to 311.
