David Tannenwald is a case writer for Harvard Kennedy Schoolâ€™s Program on Crisis Leadership (PCL). In this capacity, he writes case studies for PCLâ€™s teaching programs and publications. Before joining the PCL team, Tannenwald worked at New Heights Youth, a youth basketball and education nonprofit in New York City. In addition, he has served as a research assistant in Ghana for a Harvard professor and as an intern at Northeasternâ€™s Center for Sport in Society. Tannenwald received his A.B. in government from Harvard College in 2008. As an undergraduate, he was a research assistant for PCL and wrote his honors thesis about government spending on sports stadiums. Outside of PCL, Tannenwald is a freelance writer focused on the intersection between sport and society.
